Description

Kiko is a goblin, a magical being with the characteristic swarthy skin, long, clever fingers, and sharp, intelligent features of his kind. However, he immediately stands apart from the severe, often sneering goblins one might encounter in places like Gringotts. For his species, Kiko is unusually sociable and agreeable.

His typical attire is practical rather than ceremonial, befitting his role as a Foreman and Chief Engineer. He often wears a sturdy tunic and well-made boots, clothes that suggest a hands-on approach to his work. A pair of intricate brass goggles are frequently pushed up onto his high forehead, ready for detailed work at a moment's notice.

What truly distinguishes Kiko is his demeanour. His dark eyes are bright with an uncommon inquisitiveness. When observing someone, his expression is one of genuine curiosity and assessment, not hostility. He lacks the pinched, severe expression common to many goblins, and a brief, genuine smile is not an uncommon sight. His voice is clear and precise, carrying an air of authority that is neither harsh nor demanding.

This combination of traits makes him a complex and noteworthy figure. He is not merely an engineer but is also politically shrewd. In his open posture and direct gaze, one can sense a diplomat's cunning wrapped in a craftsman's practical guise. His agreeable manner is a key element in the breakthrough wizard-goblin relations his work represents. He is a goblin of the earth, not the vault, and a pioneer confidently navigating a new era of cooperation.

Session Interactions
Session 09 - Ghosts of Christmas Past The Wizarding World is abuzz with hypotheses as to the cause of the tremors. Some blame Grindelwald, others blame Nazis and some blame a conspiracy of both. The Daily Prophet however has somehow learned of Kiko & the HVMC's presence in the valley and is increasingly demonising them, blaming either their 'out of control magic' or 'failed mining experiments' for threatening Hogwarts, Hogsmeade & even the very secrecy of the Wizarding World by risking Locharbor and the other mixed/muggle villages in Hogwarts Valley
Session 05 - Trouble at the Mine After an urgent message from Jackdaw Finch, Cassie, Vi & Basil head to the HVMC test pit in the Forbidden Forest. There they find 5 British paratroopers, presumably on training manoeuvres, being puzzled by the 'Illusory Dome' that Kiko has erected to deter muggle curiosity
Session 05 - Trouble at the Mine Cassie witness the arrival of Jackdaw Finch and Kiko into the fray with the muggle soldiers. Jackdaw Finch Obliviates them as Cassie Wingardium Leviosas the leader's weapon when gunfire breaks out. Kiko then does some kind of Finger-of-Death bullshit on the Lieutenant who dies immediately. Jackdaw Finch is not pleased.
Session 05 - Trouble at the Mine As Cassie, Vi & Basil aid Jackdaw Finch in preventing the escape of any of the muggle soldiers (whilst also stopping Kiko from doing anything else crazy), Jackdaw tweaks the memories of the survivors and sends them on their way. He then disapparates to report the incident to the Ministry of Magic, despite Cassie's attempts to persuade him to... tidy up... by other means.
Session 06 - Arania Exumai! Kiko begins to explain the nature of magic in the Wizarding World. The power that witches and wizards draw through their wands is inherent in nture, and emanates especially strongly from certain locations. Hogwarts Valley, Diagon Alley, Godric's Hollow and the site of the Ministry of Magic are all examples of this. This magic is ancient and raw. Wandlore allows witches & wizards to control it, whilst other magic beings (Goblins, Centaurs, House Elves and the like) have to embrace it in its rawer more natural state
Session 06 - Arania Exumai! Kiko confirms that Vi is one of the rare wizards/witches who is able to see vestiges of this Ancient Magic
Session 06 - Arania Exumai! Kiko goads the party into entering the Forbidden Forest Test Pit ("test pit 7") to clear it of its spider denizens.
Session 06 - Arania Exumai! Cassie, Vi & Basil successfully repel the Acromantula and Giant Spiders within the HVMC controlled Forbidden Forest Test Pit. Kiko behaves protectively towards them throughout, though allows the students to lead the assault. Whilst there they briefly observe some strange crystals, the effects of which later become apparent in the Cold Plant Room
