Session 04 - Voices from Elsewhere Basil sees a young girl standing in the halls at Hogwarts. This is Eleonora Humblewood (dec.), both blessed and cursed with gifts like Basil's. He sees her scrawling scenes like those he himself witnessed earlier in this vision and he witnesses a slow descent into isolation and some might say madness.
Session 04 - Voices from Elsewhere Basil encounters the spirit of Eleonora Humblewood (dec.). In a voice full of ancient sorrow she tells him: _"They did not listen... but it all came true. All of it. "Seek not to understand the future. In front lies madness. Use your gifts to discern the true past. Behind lies truth and understanding"
Session 05 - Trouble at the Mine Basil expresses his desire to know more about Eleonora Humblewood (dec.) and to find the strange crypt that he saw in his visions: Eleonora's Rest
Session 05 - Trouble at the Mine In trying to learn more about Eleonora Humblewood (dec.) and her death, Basil researches the history of the Humblewood family. A long-storied pureblood family, the Humblewoods have spawned Ministers of Magic, international quidditch players, decorated aurors and everything in between. Basil found 3 examples of high profile Humblewoods being removed from office for mental health reasons, most notably Priscilla Humblewood (dec.) who was the only Minister of Magic ever removed for 'conduct unbecoming', when she raised an army "to save wizardkind", which was widely believed to be ready to attack muggledom
Session 05 - Trouble at the Mine Basil deploys his Dreamweaver's Sight in contemplation of Eleonora Humblewood (dec.), suffering the distressing sensation of seeing nothing, hearing everything and being unable to escape. Haunted by taunting and bullying, ring-a-roses and namecalling he turned his thoughts first to the recent Arania Exumai training session and turned his tormentors into unsighted spiders. But switching his thoughts to his mother has was able to pull himself back to consciousness.
Session 05 - Trouble at the Mine Liam Flaherty finds Basil unconscious on the floor of the School Library (open section) after his Dreamweaver encounter with Eleonora Humblewood (dec.)
Session 05 - Trouble at the Mine Cassie, Vi & Basil head to the School Kitchens to ask the Hogwarts Kitchen Elves if they know anything about Eleonora Humblewood (dec.) or 8.5.03 Eleonora Humblewood's Crypt. They find Fizzy, who seems more interested in feeding them and showing them around. He does explain that the only level he knows beneath this one is the 8.4.05.01 Pantry Realms
Session 06 - Arania Exumai! Vi & Cassie hit the library in the final week of the first half term. Cassie seeks information on the whereabouts of the Room of Requirement, whilst Vi researches ancient magic. Both also seek any information about Eleonora Humblewood (dec.) or The Humblewood Crypt but find nothing more.
Session 06 - Arania Exumai! Contemplating the fate of Eleonora Humblewood (dec.), Basil recalls seeing The Fat Friar watching her sadly during her school years. Cuthbert Binns (Ghost) would also have been post-deceased by then and has an active interest in the history of magic and Hogwarts itself.
Session 07 - Falling Down Basil seeks out The Fat Friar (with some difficulty) to finally ask about his memories of Eleonora Humblewood (dec.). Basil shares an extraordinary vision of The Fat Friar's death, executed after a long imprisonment by his fellow monks. The Friar explains that ghosts can touch Basil and share what they saw in life. But if touched by a Diviner, there is a risk of seeing their visions. This is what caused Eleonora Humblewood (dec.) to fall into madness and is why The Fat Friar fears for Basil
Session 07 - Falling Down Repelled by either or both the mental fortitude of Basil and the Impervius charm of Cassie, a strange mote of blue light in the 8.5.02 Room of Requirement retreats back into the wall from whence it came. The DIADEMs interpret this to be some manifestation of Eleonora Humblewood (dec.) attempting to contact or somehow harm or aid them.
Session 09 - Ghosts of Christmas Past Basil is informed by The Fat Friar that the strange blue mote, presumed to be some essence of Eleonora Humblewood (dec.), has been sighted hovering in the corner of Nearly Headless Nick (Sir Nicholas de Mimsy-Porpington)'s Festive Deathday Party
Session 09 - Ghosts of Christmas Past Cassie shares a vision with the mote of a young Eleonora Humblewood (dec.) whilst Basil sees her, slightly older, writing at length in an old grimoire - something he has seen her doing in previous shared visions
Session 09 - Ghosts of Christmas Past During the course of events, Cassie learns through Eleonora's Mote that in her life, Eleonora had also encountered the Yule Ghoul. In fact that would likely have been the last time it was manifest. Cassie sees in a vision shared by the mote that the Yule Ghoul that looks like a 1930s British soldier now, also looked like that in Eleonora's era too - somehow it transcends time. Cassie got an uneasy sense that the Yule Ghoul knew this place and knew it well. As if it were a student of this place in this time.
Session 09 - Ghosts of Christmas Past Basil is connected to by some spectral force at the Deathday party. Perhaps Eleonora Humblewood (dec.) or perhaps the Yule Ghoul itself. But he is gifted a small rubber duck, identical to one seen in a vision where Eleonora's Grimoires were transfigured by a 14th century charms professor into this (or at least a) dick as well as a strange orb of some unknown type and purpose - if any.
Session 09 - Ghosts of Christmas Past Cassie, Vi & Basil question The Fat Friar about the visions and peculiarities they witnessed at the ghostly Deathday Party. They learn that the Professor of Charms during Eleonora Humblewood (dec.)'s schooling was one Felix Bourne (dec.), an ancestor of today's Charms Professor, Prof. Elara Bourne. No portraits of former Prof. Bourne hang in the castle, but the Hogwarts House Elves are responsible for portrait storage
Session 09 - Ghosts of Christmas Past Cassie, Vi & Basil leave Nearly Headless Nick (Sir Nicholas de Mimsy-Porpington)'s Deathday Party some time after it dissolves in fear and chaos. More perturbed than enlightened by the reappearance after centuries of the Yule Ghoul and their strange visitations from the mote of Eleonora Humblewood (dec.) they depart back into the deserted corridors
Session 11 - First Year Flyby During Basil's recounting of The death of Annabelle Featherstone, Cassie reads his tea leaves. Following the threads of Eleonora Humblewood (dec.)'s tragic tale showed positive results in the short term and mixed results over the longer term
Session 11 - First Year Flyby Creeping towards the blue mote of Eleonora Humblewood (dec.), Basil is pulled from the ground and hangs briefly over the void before being pulled down into the Earth with the blue mote orbiting him slowly, reassuringly almost.
Session 11 - First Year Flyby Whilst falling down the Hogsmeade Skinkhole, Basil communes with the spirit of Eleonora Humblewood (dec.). When he asks if his friends, Cassie and Vi can accompany them wherever they are going, Eleonora informs Basil that "We will meet them. At the end. We go to where it all began and where it will all end"
Session 11 - First Year Flyby Cassie, Vi & Basil follow the mote of Eleonora Humblewood (dec.) along the passage leading East
Session 11 - First Year Flyby Eleonora Humblewood (dec.)'s mote leads Cassie, Vi & Basil to a large circular chamber. In the centre stands a pedestal surrounded by marble columns. The mote enters a glass orb on the pedestal and glows within
Session 11 - First Year Flyby Basil, recognising the orb as like the one seen in the vision with Eleonora Humblewood (dec.) and Felix Bourne (dec.), moves to grab it. Cassie observes that as the orb is moved, the room around them subtly changes, manifesting a single door depending on the height (not the lateral position) of the orb in the space. Whenever Basil holds it though, a perfectly circular hole in the ceiling remains open
Session 12 - Eleonora's Tomb Vision: The Healer's Burden (c.1325): Cassie, Vi & Basil manifest as blue motes of light and witness a younger Eleonora Humblewood (dec.) serving as a gifted healer in a makeshift plague hospital located within the Hogwarts Boathouse (1325). During this vision, Eleonora is seen pioneering cures using Ancient Magic crystals and Star Grass; the use of this raw power causes spirits to swarm her, marking the onset of her madness as the dead realize she can "feel" them.
Session 13 - Under More Controlled Conditions Cassie, Vi & Basil take Jackdaw Finch to Eleonora's Rest though find no sign of Eleonora Humblewood (dec.) this time
Session 14 - Spring 1940 Cassie, Vi & Basil see Prof. Dumbledore cast Homenum Revelio, on the orb and grimoire showing Eleonora's spirit to be present even when not visible as a mote
